Week 5
Week 5 and about a 3rd of the way through the season and everything is starting to take shape. We have the pretenders and contenders, the surprises and disappointments. Here is a quick preview at week 5.
Diamond Division
SS vs DC - I think hell has finally frozen over and SS will pick up their first win. They picked up shocker from PP, who was probably one of their top 2 players and they are home against a decent DC team who is high after the upset last week of LPL.
SS wins 3-2
FR vs PP - If FR shows with a decent team I see no problems with them winning tonight. Having home table advantage and calling the matches they want certainly helps out. with shocker gone someone has to step up and I dont see it happening this week.
FR win 4-1
Match of the Week
EPL vs UP - If I stick with my original statement that UP would breeze through UIC Season 8 I would be stupid as hell. Struggle is more like it for this UP and struggle they will against Ant and company. On paper what looks to be a great match up ends up being a blow out.
EPL wins 4-1 and clinches in game 3.
LPL vs EC - Both teams 2-2 so both teams have life. EC knows what it takes by their record from last season and LPL knows how to play the interlg circut. Should be an intersting match but LPL flexes a bit more muscle.
LPL wins 3-2
Emerald Division
Match of the Week
MP vs PFN - Despite starting with BAB's 0-4 you will see PFN making the playoffs as they climb their way back up the ladder and rung 2 is tonight vs MP. MP will sneak a win or 2 but they won't win the match.
PFN wins 4-1
EP vs DS - EP has some nice players but when it comes to interlg pool they just don't stack up to the rest of the teams in the division. DS has been clicking at 99% so far this season and they will continue.
DS wins 5-0
BP vs TC - 2 Weeks in BP looked to be the top team here in ED but a 2 game losing streak makes everyone begin to question. TC has some talent and could pull off the upset here but it will not happen tonight.
BP wins 3-2
DP vs BnR - BnR has beaten some tough teams to get where they are this season and well desirved. DP has lost close matches and then no showed. DP wont show up with a full team tonight I would bet and BnR matains first place.
BnR wins 4-1

Week 4
After 3 weeks in the books we are starting to see who the contenders and who the pretenders are. A big welcome to Kerry and PFN.
Diamond Match of the Week
EPL (3-0) vs PP (2-1)- EPL has been owning teams as they are the only undefeated team in the Diamond Division. Ant has been lights out as usual and has brought l3lack_jesus along for the ride. Top to bottom they are the best team in UIC without any doubt. PP is looking for a shocker, and I dont mean their leading player. PP will need their top team plus some to pull off this upset but they do keep it close.
EPL over PP 3-2
SS (0-3) vs EC (1-2) - SS, we all know the story. Nigel runs his mouth saying they are good but yet no wins and only 4 games won. I will give SS credit they played EPL pretty tough, well alot tougher then I thought they would. EC has been somewhat of a disappointment. A team that had a good regular season has started slow but they have enough to hold off even a more sluggish SS team.
EC over SS 3-2
DC (1-2) vs LPL (2-1) - DC hasn't been as strong as I thought they could be. Englishman seems to be the only player that is showing up to shoot for them. They will need alot more then 1 solid player to pull off this upset. LPL has a solid team and could be a the second best in the division. I hope englishman speaks Spanish cause its adios for DC.
LPL over DC 4-1
UP (2-1) vs FR (1-2) - On paper you would think UP should roll with this one but UP has not been the same team as they were last season and in MLP and PLC the past few seasons. They haven't been getting full teams and they haven't been shooting smart. FR has a few decent players but not the caliber of UP.
UP over FR 3-2
Emerald Division
BP (2-1) vs DS (2-1) - Well anyone who has been around pool long enough DS and BP have alot of players who play in both leagues and in PRO shoot under the DS name. Ross and Tim know each other well and it should be like a chess match on who's shooting when. This match could go either way and will come down to a 5th game decider. Linda will pull through in the clutch.
DS over BP 3-2
Match of the Week
MP (2-1) vs BnR (3-0) - BnR jumped all over DS last week winning 3-2 and MP should be undefeated if it was for the cam mishap. BnR has gotten alot better with alot of new players shooting for them. MP has just found a way to get it done. With Simon and Jason you would think that this would be an easy BnR win but MP won't give in that easy.
BnR over BP 3-2
PFN (0-3) vs DP (1-2) - Not much to say here. DP has beaten an easy EP team, no showed and lost a tough one to DS 3-2. PFN is interlg perfection. All they do is win. DP doesn't stand any kind of chance here. Kerry has a hugh welcome back to UIC.
PFN over DP 5-0
TC (2-1) vs EP (0-3) - Well this will be a coming out party for TC to show the rest of UIC they are for real. I said from the beginning that TC was a team to watch and after a hugh win here TC will be 3-1 and in the hunt for the top spot. EP has some good players that just haven't done to much.
TC over EP 4-1

Week 3
Sorry that this is gonna be short but working 3 doubles the past 3 days has killed me, dumb bitch still stole money from the register with 4 cameras watching her.
DD
Match of the Week
LPL (1-1) vs FR (1-1)
2 solid teams face off here. FR has played better then I expected and the addition of Ashley (2-0) has really keep them alive in their matches. LPL has home table advantage and Tino (0-1) can call a good match but FR is feeling it and will pull off a very tough win.
FR over LPL 3-2
***Upset Alert***
DC (0-2) vs UP (2-0)
These two teams will get to know each other quite well as they play in UIC, PLC and MLP this week. Both teams want to get out to an early advantage in the week long series but UP has the better players. Uber will need englishman (2-0) and the rest of his team to show up and be ready to play. The upset comes in UP has been struggling all season to get a full team of players. If UP shows with a good team DC stands no chance.
UP over DC 3-2
EPL (2-0) vs SS (0-2)
I was at a MLP match this week and all I heard was bitching and crying from Nigel that SS doesn't get any respect in UIC and they are better then everyone says. Well lets see they have won 3 games out of 10 and 1 of them was by FF because UP couldn't field a full team. In MLP they are 1-3 and they don't play in PLC, god forbid someone from SS play on cam. Nigel needs to take the sand out of his vagina and realize that SS really isn't a good interlg team. As for EPL, I hope Ant brings his best team top to bottom and slaps the shit out of SS just for the fun it.
EPL over SS 5-0 in smashing fashion
EC (1-1) vs PP (1-1)
Another interesting match with 2 teams that are pretty even. Shocker (2-0) and Dina (2-0) have paced PP so far and will need their top game and more if they want to get a win. Marky and David not being around are hurting their chances so Neo (1-0) needs his a game to help carry the load. EC had almost 2 completely different teams show up the past 2 weeks as aop_kash (2-0) is the only repeat player from both weeks. They will need some more top players to show up if they want and chance of winning.
EC over PP 3-2 via Home Table Advantage
ED
DP (0-2) vs EP (0-2)
A battle of the cellar dwellers here as both teams are 0-2 and have won a total of 5 games. EP has the positive of they show up every week where DP no showed last week. If DP shows they will run over EP, if they don't EP will get their first win of the season.
DP over EP 4-1
TC (1-1) vs Bye
Congrats TC on your second win of the season. Enjoy the day off and come watch some matches, you have some good players but lack the interlg experience, maybe they can pick up some pointers.
BP (2-0) vs MP (1-1)
MP should be 2-0 but because a dumb ass doesn't know rules of cam they are 1-1. Mike (1-0, 1 credit) will need to bring his A game along with the rest of MP if they want a chance to beat BP. Tim has BP rolling as they haven't really been pressed all season. Kevin (1-0) and company will steamroll MP if they show up to play.
BP over MP 4-1
Match of the Week
BnR (2-0) vs DS (2-0)
2 division powerhouses go head to head this week. Both are 2-0 and both have had to save themselves in game 5 matches already this season. Chuck (2-0) and Ronin (2-0) lead a strong DS team while Rick (1-0) and Jay (1-0) both have alot of interlg experience. BnR has Jason (1-0, 1 credit) and Brownie (2-0) along with Simon (1-1) and hammernail (1-0) all who have been around for a while. They key to this match is who has the stronger 5th shooter. Roy or Ross against redhot I have to give the advantage to DS.
DS over BnR 3-2 in thrilling fashion, Game 5
Good Luck to all teams and players this week.

Week 2 Summary
Week 2 was another great week for UIC. Alot of great matches going down to the wire and alot of blown chances, so is life on Yahoo Pool. This will be a short post due to work.
DD Review
Match of the Week proved to be that and more. UP jumped out to an early 2-0 lead and then questions started to rise as aaron was looking for a 5th player. Candi lost a close one to ms_dina_mite in the 3rd and junglejim got owned in the 4th so it was up to aaron and the team capt came through letting Up hold on for the 3-2 win.
LPL came to play as they took it SS 4-1. Craig and Steven just couldnt get anything done against the always tough LPL'ers. Straightshots_dj got their lone win.
FR and EC went 2-2 into the final match so the pressure shifted to chippedbeaver and ec_runner. A tight match that went back and forth saw ec_runner with a table length shot for the win and it just misses the pocket. Chippedbeaver took advantage of the mistake and ran the final 2 balls out giving FR a 3-2 win.
EPL jumps to 2-0 on the season as they hang on to beat DC 3-2. Uber brought a good team but to no ones surprise Ant comes through in the clutch and finishes out the match.
ED Review
First off 2 No shows and the first death of season 8 as BAB is done for and DP no shows against MP so congrats to MP and BP on your hard fought wins. LMAO.
In Match of the Week DS showed some power as Jay, Rick and Ronin all but ended TC's chances of pulling the upset as they won the first three matches. Chuck won the final as Annie played a tough match in the 4th in a loss. Gav got the win for TC.
Finally BnR won a thrilling 3-2 match over EP. Brownie played a great match in the final to clinch the win for a surging BnR team.

Week 2
Welcome back for week 2 of UIC. Alot of 3-2 matches last week hopefully this week can live up to the hype.
Diamond Division
Match of the Week
Pool Pals vs United Pool
Neo brought a good team last week and was able to hold off a tough LPL team but if he has any ideas of winning this week he will need Marky and Dave to show up. United is coming off a disappointing week 1 victory having only 4 players show, one being Marcy who changed lg's on a timer. I think Pete and Kets realized they got lucky and they need more this week if they want to win. Top to bottom UP has better players and when their full teams shows this week they will win a tough one.
UP over PP 3-2
Latino Pool Legends vs Straightshots
Both lgs suffered tough 3-2 losses last week and are looking to bounce back. LPL has a solid team and Tino would be a great help this week but they will not need him to win this week. Uriiel66 had a big win last week for LPL and he will grab another this week. Steven won the 7PM UIC Swiss and will try to carry his momentum over to the match and Craig will bring his A game but it won't be enough this week.
LPL over SS 3-2
Extreme Cues vs Freedom
EC won the battle of the cues last week while FR blew a 2-0 lead vs EPL last week. Marcoo_ec will need to come up with another win to start them off and they will need aop_kash to come through again in the clutch if they want to hold off this tougher then I thought FR team. Ashley got a big win for them last week but they lost skillz_2_sh0w to MP so they will need someone else to come and step up if they have any chance of winning, enter spin.technician. Another close match but EC will hold on for the BIG W.
EC over FR 3-2
Devine Cues vs Elite Pool Legends
DC got welcomed into UIC with a tough 3-2 loss while EPL pulled a magic trick out of their hat winning the final 3 games to get a victory. Eng.lishman will need to have a great week along with the rest of DC if they have any chances of winning this one. EPL's got tw.ista, trump and Ant and by the time Ant sees the table DC will be waving the white flag for mercy.
EPL over DC 4-1
Emerald Division
Match of the Week
Deadstrokes vs True Champs
DS had Chuck come through in a tough game 5 to get the win while TC took advantage of the misfortunes of a bad tape to sneak out a win. Ross will be bringing his A team with Roy, Jay (wtf_ima_jedi) who is back from Iraq and playing for DS, Ronin, Rick Chuck, Vishu and others. TC will rely on any_jumps to jump start them as they try and pull the second upset in a row. But with DS having the home table advantage they will hold on to win.
DS over TC 3-2
Dream Pool vs Magic Pool
DP lost a tough match last week and while MP lost on their own stupidity. These are 2 teams that know each other well and this should be one of the more intense matches of the season. DP will have sukioo and do_your_best leading the way on the bounce back road while MP will need to make sure they have their cams setup right so they don't give away any more cheap wins. Mike I'm sure will be working on that. DP is still to much for a struggling MP team.
DP over MP 3-2
Break and Run vs Eclipse Pool
BnR is getting better and stronger as the weeks go on in all interlgs while EP couldn't even get enough players last week. Simon and Jason are two of the better players around and will certainly lead BnR to a convinceing win this week. EP will need super_hero to have a super week along with the rest of the players if they have any chance of keeping this close.
BnR over EP 4-1
Bad Ass Ballers vs Brit Pool
This match won't even be close. Tim has a solid group of players and they will show up to keep their hands on first place, since they won 4-1 last week. BAB couldn't field a full team and even with a full team they still don't stand a chance.
BP over BAB in a sweep 5-0

Unlike what was listed on the predictions page, I went 5 out of 8 this week. Not to bad for a rookie at the guessing game.
EC vs DC
Predicted Score EC over DC 3-2
Actual Score EC over Dc 3-2
DC held their own against an EC team that placed second season but lacked the power to win the final match. How different could the result have been if uber.geeky was there to close it for DC?
EPL vs FR
Predicted Score EPL over FR 4-1
Actual Score EPLover FR 3-2
EPL had to be quite worried after tw.ista and trumpsterized lost and were down 2-1 which was a shock to most people I'm sure. But EPL wasn't out of it as siccret_weapon won match 4 and Ant wins match 5 to hold on for the victory.
Match of the Week LPL vs PP
Predicted Score LPL over PP 3-2
Actual Score PP over LPL 3-2
Another match that came down to the final game. And one has to wonder where tino.nica was. If he played the final game and called the match LPL as capt it could have resulted in a LPL win. Congrats to Neo as shocker_58 pulls out a game 5 win and proves this predictor wrong.
UP vs SS
Predicted Score UP over SS 4-1
Actual Score UP over SS 3-2
Where the hell was UP? No Kets, No Pete, No Pommy, No Aaron. can we say that UP got very lucky with only having 4 players show up. If Steven or one of their other players were able to squeak out a win UP would have been 0-1 on the season. Congrats to SS for putting a good scare in the defending champs.
BAB vs BNR
Predicted Score BNR over BAB 4-1
Actual Score BNR over BAB 3-2
BAB smelled the upset from match number 1 as they jumped out to the 2-0 lead but you need a full team. New addition Simon got BNR back on track and brownie won the decider as BNR's other newest player jasonlippi01 took the FF win.
BP vs EP
Predicted Score BP over EP 3-2
Actual Score BP over EP 4-1
BP flexed some muscle tonight after falling behind after match 1. Tim had a deep and by the time that Kevin (gameover) finished the second match EP saw their match was over. Again, EP was another team that couldn't bring a full team to week 1.
Match of the Week
DP vs DS
Predicted Score DP over DS 3-2
Actual Score DS over DP 3-2
This match lived up to the billing as it went back and forth through all 5 matches. Palp and Ross won for DS and suikoo and doyourbest1 won for Dp to make a pressure cooker in the 5th. DS fires with Chuck in the decider and he was able to come through in the end to give DS the win.
Upset of the Week
MP vs TC
Predicted Score TC over MP 3-2
Actual Score MP over TC 3-2
By the time Mike got a chance to shoot in the third match the upset pick was coming true. He took to the table down 2-0 but it didn't stop him from picking MP and pushing them on to 3 straight wins. Congrats to Mike, Dan and stpso4414 for winning it in the pressure spots.
Great start to Season 8 of UIC and here is to 13 more weeks of great matches.

Week 1 Predictions
Diamond Division
DC vs EC - Uber and DC are going to have his hands full in week 1 with a tough EC team. EC placed 2nd in the regular season last season and their players knows what it takes to win so they certainly have the upper hand. If Uber can show up with a strong team he stands a chance but EC is just to deep and experienced.
EC over DC 3-2
EPL vs FR - EPL has 3 real strong shooters right now but no depth after that. FR is a team that slipped through the cracks and took the premiership title in Emerald last season but their top 3 players will not even come close to knocking down EPL's top 3. I think FR might take a win or 2 if EPL has some no shows.
EPL over FR 4-1
Match of the Week
LPL vs PP - This has 2 evenly matched teams who will have no problems playing some cam games if need be. Both have solid players who all have interleague expearence so I expect a tough match going down to game 5 and final few balls. I give tino.nica and LPL the advantage being the home team and hitting the match ups the way he wants them. PP loses a heart breaker in week 1.
LPL over PP 3-2
UP vs SS - Not much of a match here. Steven has his hands full against a stacked UP team. Pete and Kets will bring their top team being week 1 and wanting to show their power and their will of a 3 peat. Unlike the New England Pats there will be no choke here and UP rolls.
UP over SS 4-1
Emerald Division
BAB vs BNR - This is a unfair match up for BAB in week 1. BAB are trying to break into the win column early this season and show they can compete but they are playing a team that has played for seasons together. BNR should be able to win with some ease.
BNR over BAB 4-1
BP vs EP - BP looks to rebound from playing a tough Diamond Division last season where EP looks to carry over their success from UIC Swiss. BP has some players who have been around before and know the pressures of playing and winning just 1 game where EP's players hope and poke for a 5rd tourney. BP holds on with the home table advantage.
BP over EP 3-2
Match of the Week
DP vs DS - 2 teams that know each other well and have had some great interleague matches in the past. DP snuck past DS in PRO on the carry format and split last seasons match ups. This will be a match of who shows up to play. DS has some questions on Chuck and what his status is. DP has the home table advantage and sneaks out a tough win.
DP over DS 3-2.
Upset Special
MP vs TC - I'm really not sold on how good MP is. We all know their past and their struggles last season and we know that TC isn't as bad as we think. Despite MP having the home table and naming their matchups TC is showing up with 5 good players and want to show the Emerald Division they are for real. TC pulls the first upset of the season.
TC over MP 3-2
Best of luck to all LG's and Player's in Week 1!
DC vs EC - Uber and DC are going to have his hands full in week 1 with a tough EC team. UIC Season Preview
Emerald Division
Bas Ass Ballers - BAB really took a whipping in the Diamond Division last season after joining UIC in week 5. I can say I honestly don't know much about this league but I look for them to continue their struggles in the Emerald Division. They can only hope to improve as the season goes on and hopefully make a run at the Consolation Cup.
Players to Watch: o.0ashley, hillbilly_hustler2000, totaljewels
Break and Run - BNR had a sub .500 record last season in a weak Emerald Division but they look to rebound and make the playoffs. BNR brings the same players week after week so they have a good team chemistry and can lift each other up after a tough match or game. BNR will have a big effect on who makes the playoffs and who doesn't.
Players to Watch: hammernail6569, redhot_2oo3, brownie_2oo3
Brit Pool - BP has some good players but not alot of them, having only 11 joining UIC so far. They came in 5th last season in the Diamond Division and move to lesser division this season. Tim will need his team to show up every week and shoot some good games, not the hot and cold shooting they usually have.
Players to Watch: drew.poolgod, im_just_jeremy, oorahhhh
Dead Strokes - DS won the Emerald Division Consolation Cup last season after blowing their chance at the Premiership finals. DS has some good shooters but it depends on which team shows up as to how well they do. Roy and Ross will need to bring their A game every week if they want a chance at winning it all. Another key is will Chuck play or has he actually retired?
Players to Watch: p00l.addiction(if he plays), de.judge, superstar.robinho
Dream Pool - Losing Ashley is a hugh hit for this league who placed 3rd last season. Mario seems to have a decent supporting cast but they didn't start coming around until the second half of last season. For DP to make the top 4 this season they will need all their players showing up every week. Look for them to play the spoiler roll this season.
Players to Watch: s_u_k_i_o_o , lvlr_degrassislam@sbcglobal.net, themvp66
Eclipse Pool - This league is a who's who of top 20 names in UIC Swiss. They had a tough road last season while playing in the Diamond Division but being bumped down gives them the chance to break into the top 4. EP is another league that needs their good playing on Friday's to continue over to Saturday's if they want to make a name for themselves.
Players to Watch: l3ad.azz_licky, speedy_874, plumber_83705
Magic Pool - This team started off real bad last season in the Diamond Division and really didn't do anything else except for the 3 FF's they won ending the season with. They look to rebound in the not as tough Emerald Division but they seem to lack the fire power to be a competitive league. Mike will really need to put this team on his back and hope for some wins.
Players to Watch: mike_oneill43, dont_miss_2007, xlx_skill_xlx
True Champs - TC worked their way to a middle of the pack finish in the Emerald Division last season. They have a few players who had better then .500 records so they can shoot and possibly win some matches but again look to be on the bottom half off the standings. TC is my sleeper pick in this division as they can pull off some upsets if their team shows up to shoot.

Season Preview UIC 8
Welcome back to season 8 of UIC. Along with doing predictions of UIC matches and a season preview I am also going to give recaps of UIC's sister league UIC Swiss, which is held every Friday afternoon and evening. So let the games begin and may the best leagues win.
Diamond Division
Devine Cues - DC joins UIC for the first time. Lead by uber.geeky DC has shown some early season success in both MLP (1-1) and PLC (2-1) this season. That success could carry over to UIC if uber is able to find a little more depth. Right now there are only 8 players who have joined UIC and with a few no shows it could really hurt their chances of getting that big W. DC could be the sleeper team of the Diamond Division.
Players to Watch: uber.geeky, nealejess401 and eng.lishman
Extreme Cues - EC finished 2nd last season in the Diamond Division regular season and they are looking for more this season. Last season this league played more players then every other league and only had 7 qualified for the playoffs. For EC to have a more successful run in UIC this time around they need more players qualified in case the no show bug hits them in the postseason.
Players to Watch: sleepyman619, lvlaster_assassin and marcoo_ec
Elite Pool Legends - Another new league to UIC this season but they only have 3 players who joined up so far. The 3 players they have so far are familiar in the interleague circle and they have played well in the past but they need more people to join up or they will be the first to be removed from UIC this season.
Players to Watch: noob_ified, trumpsterized, tw.ista
Freedom - FR barely creeped into the playoffs last season in the Emerald Division and somehow walked away winning it all. That will not be the case this season in the much tougher Diamond Division. FR will have to fight for every win, not just skate by with the 5-0 FF's of last season. A big addition is pro.ashley from DP who will help try and get FR out the basement this season.
Players to Watch: ll_eskimo_ownage_ll, poolerz_elite, pro_ashley
Latino Pool Legends - LPL fought to a fourth place finish in the Diamond Division last season. They have a team loaded of "LEGIT" shooters, all of whom are well known in the Cam leagues. They have 4 or 5 real quality players who if they all show up to shoot can be a dominate force. Look for this league to but up a good fight week after week.
Players to Watch: tino_nica, maldito_p4blo, URIIELL66
Pool Pals - Another new league to UIC this season but they are well known throughout the interleague circle. A league that plays all their home league games on cam expect to see some good quality shooters. They did very well in PRO last season with a 5 man team and now they don't have to carry. Expect PP to put up some big wins this season.
Players to Watch: bootiful.buckme, trust.neo, exquisite_marky
Straight Shots - Steve has his hands full this season going from the Emerald Division to the Diamond Division. A team that struggled last season will really need to step it up if they want to stay out of the basement this season. They have had success in UIC swiss so the talent is there but can it continue from Friday's swiss tourneys to Saturday's race to 3?
Players to Watch: steven.rules, x_craig_rulez_x, x_kinky_laura_x
United Pool - No CZ, No 8BR is there a league that can stop them? Nope, not even close. This league has won PLC last season, they won UIC 2 seasons in a row, made MLP finals 2 seasons ago. Pete and Kets has an easy time walking away with this Division and might be able to allow some newer interleague shooters to get a chance to prove themselves.
